Community joins Sisters of Loretto in Seeking Home Walk

Celebrating its 200th year at the current Motherhouse location, last Thursday the Sisters of Loretto joined with more than 100 members of the wider Kentucky community to walk more than just a mile in their shoes.

Beginning their journey at St. Charles Church, the participants traveled by wagon and car for the nearly nine-mile journey to the Motherhouse site in Nerinx.

“It was a lovely group of people who showed up at St. Charles, people from all over,” said Sister Elanor Craig. “We had a small number from Lexington and Louisville and then I know there were people from Bardstown but the bulk of people were from Springfield and Marion County.”
